Illustration by Yuuko KasadaMore and more info is simply being translated into Japanese from the English fanclub, but this issue does contain a report on two Japanese fanclub gatherings held in Tokyo and Osaka. Although the numbers are much lower than the gatherings from the mid-70s, the organizers note that there was a higher attendance than expected and plenty of people had to stand, especially in Osaka. Speakers included Music Life editor-in-chief Kaoruko Togo and DJ Keiko "Snoopy" Imaizumi. Queen music videos were screened and rare tracks were played, such as songs from Smile, "Larry Lurex", live tracks from bootlegs, and of course, See What A Fool I've Been.
This issue also contains info regarding the upcoming release of Greatest Hits, which would go on to become one of the best-selling records of all time.
Bizarrely, in the ads section there is a listing for "Prenter Power", a Paul Prenter fanclub (!!!) based out of Adachi, Tokyo. Someone is also selling a series of doujinshi with illustrated anecdotes of meeting Queen during their 1981 Japan visit, which I would kill to be able to get my hands on.
